OpenMI Workshop
Experiences with OpenMI

27th - 29th September 2005
Munich, Germany

The OpenMI Workshop of September 27th has two objectives:

  • To provide an overview of the OpenMI for managers and modelers (the morning)
  • To report on the first trials of the OpenMI (the afternoon)

The overview will explain why there is a need for the OpenMI, briefly describe the architecture and provide information on new opportunities for model developers. The session will close with a presentation on the future of the OpenMI with time allowed for a discussion.

The afternoon session will report on an exercise to test the functionality and utility of the OpenMI in near operational situations. A variety of scenarios were constructed requiring linked models. For each, suitable models were identified, made OpenMI compliant, linked and run. The presentations will be made by all the different organisations taking part.

The workshop will take place at the

Bavarian Water Management Agency,
Lazarettstr. 67, Munich.

If you would like to participate in the workshop please fill in the registration form before September 1st 2005.
